Alex Bond is a landscape photographer, born
in Perth. In 1985, whilst studying science at University,
Alex purchased a large format wooden field camera, combining
his interest in bush walking with his passion for landscape
photography, having work published in books, magazines,
diaries and calendars.
In 1989 he founded Stormlight Publishing, the first photographer
to publish a series of postcards dedicated to promoting
the natural scenery of the states south west. His commitment
to quality has been recognised with both state and national
awards for excellence in print. He has featured in The West
Australian's West Magazine.
In 2005, he established the Alex Bond Gallery in Pemberton,
as a permanent south west venue to promote and sell his
photographs.
