Glass and Jewellery
Trained with Marc Leib, Marc Grunseitt and Ian Dixon
I have always loved glass and instantly fell
in love with making it. My Signature range is the Eucalyptus
Dream Series of platters, bowls, pictures, plaques and paper
weights, made by tracing leaf shapes from copper shim, laying
them between 2 pieces of glass, then fusing them together.
They are then slumped over a mould to take that shape. I love
the different colours, which are produced due to the high temperature
in the kiln. Working with glass from the USA, I make platters,
bowls, art and commissioned works. My favourite being Dichroic
glass. Refracting and reflecting colours; it is a constant source
of wonder.
