Community - Who Benefits from Artists in Arms?

Not only will they benefit from the funds that will be raised on their behalf, but the profiles of the charities and awareness of the work that they do will be increased significantly through the promotion of Artists in Arms.

Artists
Our artists will benefit from the opportunity to gain exposure for their work and exhibit their art to potential purchasers.

As most artists work alone, Artists in Arms will enable them to share their experiences and resources and obtain valuable feedback from their peers. We will also provide them with opportunities to create new like-minded friendships and alliances.

Buyers
Most art galleries only exhibit one or two artists at a time. Because Artists in Arms will exhibit a wide range of artwork from a large number of artists, potential buyers will be able to view all this art in one place and purchase directly.

They can also benefit from knowing a large proportion of the money they spend will be donated to charity. There is also the potential for some buyers to claim their purchase as a tax deduction.

Community
Artists in Arms is already actively involved in community arts projects, from children's art competitions to adult workshops in remote areas.

We are prepared to consider any proposals from artists for assistance. We also initiate regular events that support art and artists in Western Australia.

Management
We believe that as a not for profit foundation, it is important that the Foundations' Executives do not benefit financially in carrying out their executive functions. Accordingly, the Foundations' Executives act in a voluntary capacity only and receive no financial remuneration. The Foundation does not have any employees. The Foundation does not pay any third party in relation to fundraising or otherwise except for services which are necessary for the holding of Exhibitions. Such servicies are paid for on a normal commercial basis.
