A love of water colour, and the desire to
capture the beauty of our environment and flora in that medium,
has inspired Janine to paint. She has been painting since
retiring, for about 15 years, and is basically self taught
but with valuable input from workshops conducted by local
artists
Having a husband who is an avid fisherman meant many years
holidaying on Rottnest Island, and Janine started trying to
paint the various moods of the ocean. This remains a challenge.
Visits to Europe, the Middle East and WA’s north-west
region have helped diversify the themes of her work.
Janine is an award winning artist who has been published
in the Australian Artist Magazine, and is represented in various
galleries in Western Australia. Janine has participated in
several exhibitions, both solo and joint, and her paintings
are held in private collections around the world. Janine is
a member of the WA Society of Arts.
