Maris arrived in Australia in 1949 and studied
architecture at Perth college before moving onto graphics
and sculpture.
He co-founded the WesternAustralian Sculptors Association
in 1973 and has run his own foundry casting bronze works.
Maris has travelled extensively and been in many solo and
joint exhibitions over the years and has also lectured on
sculpting. His works are featured in many important collections
both public and private here and overseas. Maris does both
exhibition works and commission works as required.
