Martyn began painting as a method of escape
from day to day stresses. Finding time spent with brush in
hand relaxing, he has painted personal portraits as well as
his own works.
Having spent much time people watching in cafes, he developed
a fascination for faces which feature predominately as his
subject.
Aspiring to minimalisation or the 'less is more' concept,
he often trusts the viewers imagination to complete the image.
