Out of Africa, Mignons initial art development
and training came whilst working as a copy and layout artist
for a newspaper.
Much later, the happy environment and good teaching at West
Coast TAFE gave her the opportunity she had long waited for.
There she got her Certificate in Art and Design and went on
to a Diploma in Fine Art.
Initially painting was her subject of choice but then she
feel in love with clay and this is now the medium in which
she prefers to work, whilst still enjoying “the small
of turps in the morning”.
