Oliver was born in New Zealand and trained
at Claremont School of Art. He lives and has his studio in
Mt Lawley, and has been exhibiting since 1994.
He works mainly in copper, in a semi-representational context,
exploring the archaic parts of the human experience, such
as dance and flight.
Oliver uses abstract figuration, surrealism, and whimsy to
create pieces that evoke these experiences, and feelings,
we have throughout our life's journeys.
